Overview: Discover how God calls us back to God even when we do wrong. The book of Amos contains stern messages that Amos’s original hearers found hard to swallow. Despite Israel’s unique relationship with God, they had forsaken God's instruction and were perverting justice, taking advantage of the poor, and hiding behind religious appearances. Yet Amos’s unrelenting warnings of judgment reveal an urgent invitation to repentance - and the promise of God's compassion.
